Blades are a special skill of the game. Each Blade allows you to summon a creature that will fight for you. The creature also grants a particular bonus or ability. Blades are earned by completing a special dungeon within a certain amount of time. You can also level up the Blade by repeating the dungeon. Currently each Blade has 20 levels. Only one type of Blade can be summoned at a time, though higher Blade steps summon multiple Blades.

The game cannot be saved while in a Blade Dungeon. Any experience earned or gold picked up from killing monsters will not be awarded immediately. Upon clearing a floor of the dungeon, the user is prompted to continue into the dungeon at the risk of losing the experience and gold if they die, or exit the dungeon and immediately receive the experience and gold. The last floor of a dungeon contains large monsters that are harder than those on previous floors. Regardless of the user's performance in the dungeon, any items picked up will be saved.

There appears to be a bug displaying the DEF of Blades on the Skill screen. All Blades show their defense level as identical to the defense level for the Stone Blade, though they may take more or less damage from enemy attacks.

NOTE: If you choose a different blade, you'll see that blade's current DEF and all the other blades will appear to have that same DEF too. Example: Choose the Iron Blade and now everyone will seem to have the Iron Blade DEF
