Known as a Blood Striker, Sigmund has a powerful attack with heavy weapons that destroys anything in front of him.
Introduction[]
Sigmund is a barbarian like class. He is the only one who can effectively wield two-handed weaponry. His advantage is his attack range with two-handed weapons. If he dual wields two-handed weapons, his range is increased and will cover his surrounding area. Dual wielding drastically decreases accuracy until the passive ability Bust is upgraded to level 10. His biggest disadvantage is the attack speed when he wields only one weapon. His active skills add nothing to his advantage but rather open his vulnerability -- stand still to be attacked by enemies, although he seems to have a slight stagger effect which momentarily stops enemies from landing attacks.
Beginning Tips[]
When you first start a game with Sigmund, take a look through his skill set the first chance you get and carefully consider your intended late-game build given the following points:
- The stun effect from Hammers does not affect bosses or mini-bosses
- Dual-wielding does not add the damage of both weapons for calculating damage from Skills; only the weapon held in the normal (leftmost) slot counts so make sure your highest damage weapon is in that slot
- Hammers and Polearms take higher amounts of STR to unlock higher level items, however when dual-wielding weapon damage is boosted by DEX, not STR. Only two-handed swords truly synchronize with dual-wielding on Sigmund since they also take DEX to unlock higher level versions, so if you intend to dual-wield you will get the maximum damage possible with swords. This also, coincidentally, makes two-handed swords not a good option for single use as the DEX needed to unlock their levels will not help their damage output when used alone.
- A Skill-using Sigmund is a viable build; don't be fooled by the lower total damage percentages (damage x hit count) of the skills below when comparing them to, say, those of Enoshu. At equal level and quality, Sigmund's weapons do roughly 50% more base damage than Enoshu's wands and roughly 60% more than all of Allen's one-handed weapons, so even though Sigmund's skill damage percentages are fairly low they're multiplying off of a much higher base value, which at least partially mitigates it. Sigmund still won't match Enoshu in skill combat because of her Skill Damage boosts and the ferocious pace she can fire them, even with Sigmund's better Critical Hit boosts, but he can definitely outpace Allen.
